Windows 8 is in the fashion and for all those who wanted to have the advanced boot options during startup can configure the same in the simplest possible way. So let’s check out on how these different boot options can be accessed in a simple and non-traditional way. With advanced boot options, you can choose various options so as to make the most of your computer and manage many options which are very important while booting the computer. We use F8 as the method in other computers which is the same irrespective of the OS versions of Windows we use like Windows XP, Windows 7 or for say any other Windows versions. Procedure to Access Advanced Boot options in Windows 8:
- Open command prompt in your Windows 8 either by pressing “Widows + R” to open the run command to enter “cmd” and “Ok”. Alternatively, you can also start the command prompt manually.
- In command prompt, you need to enter the below mentioned command and press enter for restarting the computer. The below mentioned command will apply the legacy boot policy.
- Please note that during the restart process, you need to press the F8 to access the boot option. So, just in case if you wish to return to the default Windows 8 method, you need to enter the below mentioned command in the command prompt. The below mentioned command will apply the standard boot policy.
